
Set above the reef on the Leigh coastline, this home is all about connection, to nature, to light, and to the ever-changing ocean below. Designed by Matter Architects, the architecture guides you through framed views and layered spaces that draw you toward the coastline’s rhythm.
The brief for BoConcept Auckland was to soften those strong lines and bring warmth, flow, and ease to the interior - creating a calm, considered retreat thatfelt deeply tied to its surroundings.

The Bergamo sofa in textured Lazio fabric anchors the living space with its relaxed profile, paired with the Porto leather armchair and Madrid coffee tables in gentle, tonal finishes. In the dining area, the Hauge chair in beige Frisco continues the curved theme, bringing lightness to theopen-plan kitchen.
The homeowner’s vision was for interiors that felt timeless, personal, and ready to evolve over time. Working closely with Theo and the BoConcept Auckland team, the result is a layered, thoughtful space that balances design and comfort - one that sits beautifully in its coastal setting.
As a crowning achievement, this home has been named Home Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Home of the Year 2023 - a testament to its heartfelt design, the power of place, and the collaborativespirit behind it.
