Maupuia House

Situated on the hills of Maupuia, this project saw Makers Architecture approach our Wellington team to furnish the living and dining spaces. The brief called for simplified, sculptural pieces that would complement the home’s strong architectural lines while introducing warmth and softness.

The Modena sofa and lounge chair were selected for their rounded forms, bringing a gentle contrast to the home’s clean structure. Soft tonal upholstery in Lazio added warmth, while dark oak finishes were introduced to create depth and provide contrast against the built-in joinery.

At the centre of the home, the Kingston dining table paired with Seoul chairs creates a welcoming gathering point — a space designed for everyday family moments as much as entertaining. The result is a balanced, contemporary interior that enhances the architecture while feeling relaxed and liveable for a young family.
